What camera or equipment will you be using to cover our wedding? I like to buy new camera bodies every 2 to 3 years to replace old ones and keep up with photo gear. I prefer to stay minimal with gear on a wedding day as this gives me the freedom to be more creative and work faster. I also carry two backup camera bodies in case my main cameras were to fail. I use natural light when possible and focus on directing people to create emotions and capture amazing memories for my clients. I bring with me three to four power flashes so I know I can handle any good or bad light situation throughout the whole day. I will update this page when I add more gear to my camera bag.
This is my new primary camera. It's Sony's most advance Full-Frame camera and it has everything I need for photos and video work. Click on the link if you want to see all technical features this camera has.
This is still an amazing camera and I use it as my second body next to my Sony a7R iii. This has 90% of all the features as my a7Riii but it has a little slower auto focus.
This lens is a must have for shooting ceremonies or when you can't get close to your subject but you still need to get close up photos. to capture the first kiss without being right there in front of the couples stealing their moment.
This lens I use it when everything is happening really fast and I have no time to be changing lenses. I normally use this lens for corporate events, commercial portraits, usually when I don't want to bring more than 1 or 2 lenses.
I really enjoy using this lens for headshot or half-body portraits. It is really sharp and gives a very unique look to your photos. It is a great lens but I don't use it as much on a wedding day because it is a 135mm prime lens and is mostly used for specific shots.
This is my favorite lens when I'm shooting details and when I'm photographing couples. It is light-weight and focus super fast and very sharp at f1.8. This lens is probably attached to my a7Rii 80% of the time on a wedding day.
This is the first Sony lens I bought and it is still an amazing sharp lens with fast auto focus. I use this lens mostly for full-body portraits and candid shots during receptions. It is a little more expensive than other 50mm lenses but I think this one is worth the extra money.
This lens I use it for getting ready photos, ceremony wide angle, family portraits. This is a very nice sharp little lens and I really enjoy using it mostly on the dance floor where I can get some really nice candy shots of people having a great time.
